My name is Joe Starr and I am the editor of Grove Notes, a news publication covering the town of Cottage Grove, Wisconsin’s government and community. I’ve been in the newspaper business as a staff writer, editor and most recently as a freelance writer for nearly 15 years. I am also a town resident since moving here with my wife Sarah in 2005.
I started Grove Notes after seeing the need for more local government news coverage. We are tax payers in this town and it’s important that we stay informed of how our local political leaders are managing that part of our investment. I imagine most of you don’t have the time or desire to sit through the town board meetings every other Monday, but the news that comes from these meetings directly impacts your daily life.
