Dave Hanson is one step closer to building his home on Nora Road after the Town approved a Dane County zoning ordinance amendment stipulating conditions to ensure the home is set back off a hilltop and landscaped so it is out of the neighbor’s line of sight.

The motion to accept the ordinance passed unanimously with no discussion as Hanson sat silent as the only person in the audience besides two news reporters covering the meeting. His pending purchase and proposed construction on the hill along Nora Road raised dissent among residents ultimately triggering a September 6 public hearing to discuss the possible removal of the Nora Road’s rustic road designation. Following the public hearing, the Board held its regular meeting where it decided to table until its first October meeting a decision whether to remove the designation.
